Tri-Valley's Junior Tennis Academy and Academy Prep are designed for junior tournament level players age 10-18. The Academy provides high level instruction with our top staff, supervised match play, video analysis, conditioning and weekly ladder matches. The Academy and Academy Prep are available by invitation only and are limited to 20 players per session. Junior Tennis membership is required and USTA tournament play is encouraged.

The Academy Program Offers:

Day 1 - 2½ hours
Warm-up and conditioning, footwork drills, hitting drills, stroke and match instruction, video analysis.

Day 2 - 1½ hours
Supervised singles and doubles match play, with video match analysis.

Day 3 - 1 hour
Singles ladder match. Competitive weekly matches.

Session Dates - 9 weeks

Session 1: Sep 10 - Nov 11 Off Dates: None
Session 2: Nov 12 - Jan 27 Off Dates: Nov 19-25& Dec 24-Jan 1
Session 3: Jan 28 - Apr 6 Off Dates:  Feb 18-24
Session 4 Apr 7 - June 15 Off Dates:  Apr 21-27, May 24-26

Junior Academy - 3 Days a Week

Monday: 3:30 - 6 pm Drills, Instruction Conditioning
Thursday: 4:30 - 6:00 pm Supervised Match Play, Video
Weekdays: See Dan Gia Academy Ladder Match
(either a weekday or a Sunday)
Sunday: 11-12 or 4-5 pm

Junior Membership:    $169
1 Session:    $699
2 Sessions:    $1329 (5% off)
3 Sessions:    $1899 (10% off)
4 Sessions:    $2375 (15% off)

Academy Prep - 2 Days a Week

Saturday: 10:30 - 12 pm Drills, Instruction. Conditioning, Video
Tuesday: 3:30 - 4:30 pm Prep Ladder Match

Instructional Staff

Dan Giammalvo– Academy Director
Since joining the Tri-Valley staff 4 years ago, Dan has worked with and developed a host of tournament caliber players. It was his vision that has led to the creation of our Academy program.
 
Joe McDermott– Tennis Director
Tri-Valley’s original Head Tennis Professional. A 25 year veteran of tennis instruction, Joe’s calm and insightful view of the game has helped literally thousands of players of all levels. He has led Tri-Valley’s tennis program since 2000.
 
Dan Flanagan- Senior Instructor
One of the area’s most respected tennis instructors, and an original Tri-Valley instructor, Dan has worked with hundreds of ranked junior players and touring professionals. His knowledge of the game and brilliant instructional techniques, have served the area’s top players for the past 15 years.
 
Mike Hughes- Senior Instructor
A former Div.1 college and touring professional, Mike has lent his wealth of instructional skills to the Tri-Valley tennis program for the past 5 years. A true student of the stroke, his technical input has proved invaluable to his long list of students.
 
Anton Nikolov- Hitting Instructor
One of the top junior players in New England and nationally ranked, Anton has been a staff intern instructor for the past 2 years. He will work with Academy players in rally and point play drills.
